Golf, tennis, pool, softball...at least when I lived in LA. Moving out to the boonies changed that.

Nowadays, I'm lucky if I play golf once a year. I enjoy playing the piano, and strumming a few guitar chords. Birdwatching is my main activity these days; we get a lot of nice species up here in the mountains, and it pairs quite well with pipe smoking.

Oh, and spending way the hell too much time on here. How'd I forget that one?

Work is my life + Hobby. It's 7 days a week (and I love it) so it's not really work.

I retired from ultra endurance sports a few years back. Got tired of all the training.

Started playing a Guitar@ 50.

Just started playing Ultimate Frisbee this year @ 61 years old. It's a Freeken ball

One day I'll have the time and creative energy for actual, physical, creative hobbies again. My day job as a programmer leaves me a bit mentally wrung out at the end of the day, and I just want to turn my brain off and veg for a while to recharge. So, I mostly smoke my pipes, read books, watch the occasional Netflix/Prime Video flick, and research stuff on the Internet.

Most of these activities sound more like parts of a way of life more than hobbies and pastimes, which is a good thing. I think once you stick with particular interests for some years, they transcend the diversionary aspect and become occupations even if they are not paid. I've just harvested (printed out) written pieces from my PC documents. These seemed like intermittent efforts, but cumulatively, they look like a book or two. That's the way it happens sometimes. Tending the creatures in my life, now down to two cats, is a definite preoccupation. I walk regularly; I liked running for years, but have gotten down to preserving hip and knee joints. I have various care taking duties for my wife, and she for me in terms of cooking and baking and online shopping. She has a depth of knowledge on culinary subjects, and though I don't expect to cook like her, I still learn a lot. Like, yeast is a living presence. She's also advises on pairing of wines with foods, though I sometimes opt for a lager. We both have our reading interests and often get together on a book we both like and listen to it as an audio book. Current events, history, biography, and fiction are some of our picks. We both like to follow the Triple Crown horse races.

I also love fountain pens and have almost 200. I haven’t bought many lately. I also love gardening, reading, hiking and travel but lately my wife and I have been helping a lot with our grandchildren along with trying to get our house ready to put on the market so we can downsize. This entails going through a ton off stuff to decide what to keep and what to get rid of. Also supervising a handyman and a contractor doing all the things we’ve neglected over 30 years. Not a hobby but it is keeping me from mine!

Let's see I love to smoke cigars, playing bridge, going to baseball games, use to be an avid Civil War buff until I realized I wasn't going to change any battles, going to the opera until our opera director lost her mind, big reader of things. Currently enjoying the Perry Mason/Nero Wolfe/Philip Marlowe selections. And I suspect much more,

Mostly golf in my spare time, usually about 60 to 70 rounds a year. Shoot Skeet on Thursdays before I leave for work, sporting clays on Sundays twice a month.
I also keep and breed crested geckos, and try to keep my 911 clean. Unfortunately sold the Ducati last November.

Now that Judo is out of question due to Corona, I have shifted my focus more to my other hobbies, like playing Chess - thank God it is possible online, if not in the club - reading a lot of books, taking long walks with my dog, and playing an accordion now and then to get the neighbors to jump and scream, before drowning them to smoke. Well, okay, I admit, no complaints receiwed of either actions last mentioned. Yet. ;)
Now that snow has melted away, I've picked up a jogging again. I have been quite lazy about it after starting Judo, since so much energy went that way.

I have a project coming in future, as I bought a pipe diy kit. I just haven't had guts to get going with it yet. I'm not too handy with carwing wood, so I feel a bit nervous... But perhaps I won't end up doing too horribly, and then, maybe, I'll develope a regular pastime of it.

I am a novice spelunker, an avid reader of back issues of Tropical Fish Hobbyist (although I don't have an aquarium), I collect and repaint Red Rose Tea figurines, hopscotch, and I have recently taken up Square Dancing although I haven't had the courage to do it in public yet.

Novice and spelunking are two words I never thought I’d see in the same sentence. Sounds a bit terrifying.

3. Collecting Postage Stamps from South Korea
4. Going on daily walks
5. On Friday and Saturday nights I enjoy watching a show with my wife when the kids are asleep
