I was finally able to see the Dylan bio-pic. Wow, a solid 5 for me. I passed on the Oscars and watched this instead. Dylans rise to fame was about 10 years ahead of my introduction to music, so I had to stop and google scenes and actors. I usually don't care for bio-pics but thought this one was outstanding. Maybe because there was so much I didn't know.

That is totally on my to-watch list!

I love almost anything that Taylor Sheridan puts out. I started with his film, "Wind River" 5/5

Then, of course, Yellowstone, 5/5. I enjoyed all the different dynamics in that series, and that it (to me) represented Native American interests well. I also think they handled Costner's departure very well. Yellowstone led to 1883 which was outstanding! 5/5, and 1923, also great 4.5/5. In rewatching some episodes for the release of the new episodes, I found it dragged on a bit, hence the minor deduction. Mayor of Kingstown is a great show, but I got 4 episodes in, and found it a bit dark and parked it. Upon restarting it with my wife we made it through and it is a solid 4.5 show, but a little heavy to binge. Tulsa was a joy and we blasted through that, 5/5. Landman really is amazing though. It just was so well done 5/5. Special Ops: Lioness is also a great show. I give it 4.5/5 and is fun and bingeable. I love that Sheridan likes to use a lot of overlap in his actors. He finds good actors and lets them explore different roles.

One great example is James Jordan:

He is in almost everything Sheridan does, and usually dies. I respect that kind of teamwork. It reminds me of Adam Sandler and, earlier, John Wayne.

My wife and I also just binged the new season (so far) of Reacher 5/5. I dislike Tom Cruise, but usually like or love his films. His Reacher films were good, but Alan Ritchson IS Reacher. He made an amazing transition from Thad in Blue Mountain State (solid 3, raunchy fun)... lol

When my wife is doing her own thing, I have been making my way through Marvel's Agents of Shield 4/5. First time around it stalled for me towards the end of season 3. This time, I pushed through and it has been great, to good throughout. I am in season 6.

Another show my wife and I have started is the new Watson, starring Morris Chestnut. He does a great job, and it is sort of a Sherlock Holmesesque House due to the medical nature of the show 4/5.

Edit: forgot the trailer for Watson:

Finished watching The Pitt on Max. It;s a very well produced Medical procedural set in an ER in Pittsburgh. There's been quite a lot of buzz with this one amongst medical professionals who work or have worked in hospital ER's, giving it high marks for an accurate portrayal of what the experience is like.

5 out of 5

The other day I told my wife that I kind of wanted to watch Mad Men as our next "shared" show (never seen it before). She said she was actually thinking the same thing. So now that's what we're watching!
Amazing show for both, I've told my girlfriend we need to start it as well. The women enjoy the relationship drama part ofc but it's definitely by no means a soap-opera... the costumes, set design, and tertiary world-building make it probably the most compelling and historically accurate depiction of American domestic, social, and business life during/spanning the entire decade of the 60's. Not to mention the main character plots/development throughout. There's definitely a reason it's usually cited as one of the top 3 shows in the history of television.. hope you're enjoying it so far!

Wow! I had no idea Sheridan was involved in all that, I thought he was just some actor!
Completely agree though I love pretty much everything he does.. Wind River was excellent at showing the modern plight of the Native Americans without pandering or guilt-shaming and ofc Renner and his character were superb.

I actually just watched Sicario for the first time last week.. WOW 5/5 all day, already rewatched it twice. Hell or High Water is a great one too... and ofc Yellowstone is a modern masterpiece.. dang I had no idea he was the common thread through all them. Thanks for teaching me my new thing for today! 😂

Couldn't agree more. We've definitely been sucked in. I think we're on season 3 now... haha.

I don't always like when Sheridan inserts himself into the shows, hes not a great actor and always plays it too far over the top. His 6666's ranch character was too much. Randomly, we're going thru all the seasons of NYPD Blue, he shows up in one episode as a skell. Its fun to catch all the rising actors that came thru that show in small parts Today, we noticed that a bad guy in Reacher Season 1 (3/5 stars) was the last lieutenant in NYPD Blue.

Wow, just finished the Season 1 finale of "Paradise". 5/5, loved very minute. Totally implausible storyline, but the writing works, you are in suspense every episode. Renewed for season 2, I hope they can keep up with this level of writing (and production).

This French show is one of the best crime drama series I've ever seen. Each plot is quite complex and it's not like you see the end coming as with many other series like this. It also has the most realistic portrayal of an autistic person I've seen in a long time, along with the little humorous things that come up along the way. There's a feeling you get for the characters as you watch. I started on Prime, but after the first season I had to finish the series on PBS Masterpiece. Well worth it! 5/5
