Thank you. I'll be sure to pass this along to my mom. If the cuts i took don't work out, we can hunt it down. 👍

Well, my wife visited today and brought a few of the pipes that i had purchased while stuck here twiddling my thumbs looking for something to bring some excitement to the drab table. It was well worth the wait. This is what i'm calling my hospital PAD:

Hospital PAD.jpg

Pete Newgrange B10, 1976 Pete Tawny Deluxe XL90 with fumed rim (my first African meer), Castello Collection Great Line KKKK and an Unsmoked Estate Ser Jacopo L2 Coral Dot. These are a welcome group of co-conspirators for my future escape-capades.

As soon as she left to grab some things for the Air BnB and some dinner for later, per my request, i put in my lunch order here (which takes an hour to get to the room) and then grabbed the new-to-me Pete meer, stuffed it with some Sansepolcro and headed out for a dose of nature's remedy: sunshine and fresh air.

Cell phone pics can't match my digital SLR at home, but i'm working with what i got. Although i wasn't a huge fan of cleaning the last p-lip, mostly it was the system well and condenser i wasn't fond of. This meer smokes like a dream and has an ample enough bowl size and even smokes flake quite well. No complaints thus far. :)

Now smoking and reviewing C&D Carolina Red Flake with Perique 2025 (Small Batch) in a 1986 three quarter bend Bacchus face CAO meer with a tapered dark tortoise shell colored acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Gave Harry the Hairy some attention, and he's playing with a catnip sock now. I'm watching the Nats-Mets game as I write the review of this blend. Not a hard one to do as it's much like the previous version.

I’m having Black Twist (sliced), which has many notes you mention, but the socks and vomit would have me guess differently. If you’d thrown in “urinal cake” and/or “rotting funerary arrangements” I’d guess War Horse….
The new Paykoc ram gets the nod since the breeze has picked up quite a bit (and because I kind of like it). It really highlights the charred meat notes, which I love.

Holy God. Rotten funeral arrangements and urine cake—I never would have imagined such a creepy blend.🥴😬😵‍💫unnamed - copia.jpg

@Benedict Munsinger I like the Oriental languages written down but couldn't cope with the Oriental countries as a tourist; I wouldn't be able to read the signs or know where to get off the bus / train:)
I had a go at writing the Oriental symbols for Yutong (Chinese bus builder) recently!

The main thing is to have internet access. For example, when I was at the pharmacy getting my medicine, I used a translator to communicate.

Well I honestly don't know what year it was made, I bought it new last year. It's probably my best smoker though honestly, and the finish looks as good as the day I bought it, both my Savinelli pipes lost their finish within 3 smokes.
That’s exactly why I asked about the quality — buying a modern mass-produced pipe often feels like a gamble. It can look beautiful, but not necessarily be a really good “smoker” in terms of comfort and performance. Savinelli unfortunately has the same issue nowadays. That’s why I tend to look either for older production pipes or for makers who still work by hand.

A couple of minutes or so away from smoking C&D Carolina Red Flake with Perique 2025 (Small Batch) in a medium bend fumed tan crackled year 2020 Ahmet Govem reverse calabash meerschaum with a military mount silver band and black acrylic stem. Should have the review finished tonight.
