I love classic rock. Though I'm a huge Metalhead, I probably listen to 70's rock more than anything these days. I really enjoy going back and exploring obscure 60's and 70's bands. I'm currently listening to Atomic Rooster. ;)
Well, that was the era in which Metal was born....

The Vanilla Fudge you were listening to had some very powerful musicians.... Carmine Appice, Tim Bogert, Vince Martell....

Vanilla Fudge was a great band and Bogert and Appice were an awesome rhythm section. Very powerful and thunderous. Both hugely underrated these days. I think both of them were amazing together. I love the Beck, Bogert, Appice album. I wish that trio had stuck around longer, as they were great. I love Jeff's tone on that album. Cactus was also another good band that Bogert and Appice participated in.

Had a stressful day today. Went for a ride on a spirited horse not knowing that they had scheduled our road for a cross country bicycling marathon. Over three hundred riders coming through. My horse had never seen a cyclists and the little flashing lights and the hum of the bikes coasting by just FREAKED HIM OUT. I knew if I got off and led him out, that would teach him a bad lesson so I stayed on while they kept coming. He locked up and wouldn't move. Just quivered.... Finally got him moving and hit the woods as fast as I could but had to come back across to get home. I asked one of the riders to please hold the onslaught long enough for me to cross and get him back in woods and up driveway. He was soaking wet..... and I was too. ha.

Anyway, having some Pegasus in my Roush Poker with some coconut water to drink. I ordered a pipe holder for my jeep that was endorsed by a fellow forum member. They also had these little top hats that hold pipes, lighters, tamper, matches, etc. etc. So.... I got one of those, too. ha.

Two bowls of PS Luxury Twist Flake in the Vauen Olaf bent egg with 9mm filter. One perfect bowl this morning while the coffee was brewing. I thought I was done but the last three minutes was pure buttered french bread fresh from the oven. This afternoon I had another but more chocolate and caramel than bread. Both excellent
I wish I could find another pipe as comfortable as this one. I may just have to get another and pay full price this time !
