Your grandma sounds like she is probably cooler than me :col:
So jealous of you getting to smoke pipes with your grandma, I never got to smoke with any grandparents and I am picturing a great time. Also big ups to you for hooking her up with the good stuff, grandson of the year right here!
She’s pretty hip for 90! She is a special lady no doubt. She is the only grandmother that I knew. Lived with her for a few years when I was a kid. Learned a lot of valuable information and lessons. Still do anytime I’m in her presence.

Don't worry about missing the past 100 pages of the thread....
You didn't miss anything except the true meaning of life, where they buried Jimmy Hoffa, location of the 'Lost Dutchman's mine,' etc.........
Glad to hear of your recovery, and welcome back to the thread! Hopefully your tastebuds come fully online in time for that temperature drop!

THANK YOU guys!! Very much appreciated! 😻🍵🍪

Vegas Baby!!!
Just starting a Peterson pre-Republic 363 loaded with Old Gowrie. It’s a pipe and heavy drinking night. Judge me. But first wade through the death and destruction that is my daily routine. I held a dead two year old in my hands this week. Go ahead, tell me how to decompress.

The Aperitif in my Blatter & Blatter One Red Dot Churchwarden, picked up from their Montreal store in mid 1990s. It is an amazing smoker with ribbon cuts.

Got home late last night, and out early today to 'finish' the roof. Well, my recursive math was out of practice and one panel short  (pro-tip, calculate coverage with a minimum of THREE panels). Back off-island to the hardware store tomorrow for one more roof panel, and some boards for the ground skirt. Got the facia up around the ends of the rafters and purlins (a bit short on the front, but used stock I had). Rain was supposed to be here Sunday or Monday, but weatherguesser now pushes it out another whole WEEK! I'll take it. Might even get gravel in before then..

Tomorrow is m'lady's birthday, so I made a lot of pizza for dinner a day earlier. Federal regulations prohibit the disclosure of how much of it I consumed. ;) After that, I had a bowl of pistachio and almond ice cream. Then, I smoked a bowl of year 2014 FVF in a much cherished smooth, brown straight grain three quarter bend 1979 Becker M 4 heart brandy with a black acrylic saddle stem.

After that, I smoked a bowl of year 2012 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.

And by the time I finish posting this, I'll have finished smoking Ken Byron Ventures Jim’s Special Flake 2023 in a straight smooth brown 1920s-30s (Comoy’s) Corinthian Sutliff San Francisco London Made 36 dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Tomato the Brave came in to eat, and then went to the cardboard box. Harry the Hairy's in and mostly behaving. Daisy the Feral Princess ate outside.

Puffing on some Pegasus in my noname Algerian briar Apple. Nice night I saw my friends band play at a local music fest and tomorrow it's my bands turn. I also picked up a set with another fellow so I have an accidental double header but it's perfect pipe smoking weather so here we are.

Did a little snacking, and am near the half way mark of this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Watching the Orioles-Yankees game with Sleepy Suzy by my side. Molly Danger is snoozin' in the bed room. All the ferals are outside.

Smoking my Mario Pascucci -P Rust-2137 and continuing my travel notes from China. Unlike Vietnam and Thailand, where good coffee is everywhere, in China it’s quite a challenge — I barely managed to find some in the supermarket. Real milk is an even bigger issue, as it usually is across much of Asia (powdered milk is also available, but it is most likely a tasteless substitute). Prices, by local standards, aren’t exactly cheap either. But since I’m a devoted coffee-with-milk drinker, I made it my mission and eventually got what I wanted.
