First pipe after several months without smell. Smoking with a Cobbler MM and mb# Virginia flake. It's fantastic, I can appreciate some nuances, baked bread, some nuts, a little citrus, hay. I imagine my sense of smell isn't 100%, maybe 60%, but it seems to have improved quite a bit. I can't believe I'm smoking and enjoying it like today. I thank God. God bless you guys.View attachment 417945

Glad to hear it, my friend! Here's to seeing you around more often once again and, most importantly, to many more upcoming happy smokes. Cheers!

Best news of the morning, John.
Like Saul on the road to Damascus, the scales have fallen off and you can see!!! Well, in this case, smell.
Seriously, that is great news.....

After finishing the first third of the mb# virginia flake, I am now on the first third of the Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake, in a Ser Jacopo pumpkin pipe. I am enjoying a darker, sweeter, and more intense flavor. Logically, it is more complete. But I needed to use different tobaccos. One more basic and one more complex. Thanks, guys. I'm going to celebrate by drinking to your health with a few shots of bee milk. Damn it , this smells good.thumbnail_IMG_0420.jpg

Half way through this bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching the first Braves-Nats game of a split double header. Fed everything that looked like a cat.

Wife has some riding lessons going on here today so I went out to the arena with my "Super-Duper, Hi velocity, mega-powered, testosterone pumping" blower and removed leaves, twigs, etc., etc. and then I hooked to the drag and gave it a good raking. Looks good and I got brownie points!!!

To reward myself, I loaded my tall Falcon pipe with some Cowboy Coffee and kicked back on the front porch to watch the world go by and the riders show up.

Men of lesser stuff might say that they enjoy watching the ladies in their tight riding pants, unload their horses and saddle up. Me???? I am far above such base thoughts and focus rather on things like the weather, the likelihood of space aliens, the absolute value of pi, etc.....

Oh, and the dogs really liked my choice of pipe and tobacco.... Or maybe it's the chew stick I am about to give them. (No rawhide, though)
