Enjoyed a great weekend with my son, some of the fathers from our men's group and their boys camping at Fort Pillow State Park.
After getting settled on Friday, I cracked a tin of Autumn Evening from 2020 and passed it around. It was a hit and made multiple passes as pipes were going. Got to bust out my favorite cob for a mid 70's evening, a MM Colonial Gent.
I was the first one up Saturday and enjoyed some quiet time with coffee and Burley Flake No.1 in a C22. Made breakfast for the crew and we headed out for some hiking.
We went to the top of the bluff to see the old fort where we learned about the history, significance of its location and the path changes in the Mississippi River since The Civil War. We then made our way back round to the lake and museum.
I enjoyed a Toscano that evening and the 'ole C&D tin made another pass around.
I was up first again this morning. Coffee with some EMP in my Ropp Stout. Everyone helped eachother get packed up and we all headed home.
Back to real life (till our cruise in October) as we've got a couple weeks to get our house ready for listing on the market before this job change...
