Opened up another tin of Vintage Syrian, this time 2012. My last, 2008, had to be rehydrated for some reason. Yeah, it’s those damned screw on 3.5 oz tins. I don’t know why they made them like that. Don’t get me wrong, it was still really good, but just not what it should be, more mummified if you know what I mean. I know, it’s heart breaking. This time, there was the wonderful pop sound and it is everything that it should be and one of the greatest Lat blends of recent times. Man, pipe tobacco sucks as it’s just a gradual decline with certain companies. Kopp can’t quit playing around with blends to save 10 cents what with this subbing red Virginia to orange Virginia and less casings. Just charge 10 cents more!!! And now Mac Baren is probably about to undergo changes. I’m buying all I can, but things like this don’t just maintain their peak past a few decades. Was watching the new Power Puff Girls with my daughter and the Professor no longer smokes a pipe. It’s too hateful for kids to see that I guess. Hopefully there will be more than crappy Virginias left after a while folks. Orientals and burley seem to be okay because of cigarettes and chew.

I'm smoking year 2019 Ascanian No. 1 in a straight smooth dark brown 1930s (Comoy’s) The Exmoor Pipe 283 chubby Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Listening to the Braves-Dodgers game on the XM because Apple + is broadcasting it on TV, and I'm not paying their fee. I have heard when that happens, radio ratings go up for the teams by a good percentage.
After getting 3.5 inches of rain today, it cleared up long enough to get some stuff done outside. Smoked some Grainger.
Now I'm relaxing with Newminster 400 in a Molina.

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2010 Full Virginia Flake in a slight bend 1968 group 4S Dunhill Shell 475 cherrywood with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Braves color commentator Joe Simpson just remarked how much that they appreciate the fans who mute their Apple+ broadcast to listen to their radio broadcast. Can't blame him for that considering how lousy those Apple+ announcers are.
