A third of a bowl left of year 2014 HU Directors Cut in a very early Ascorti straight New Dear KS billiard with a carved shank and a black acrylic tapered stem. It's not raining, but it's sprinkling enough that I stayed inside today. Been busy looking at cleaned unsmoked estate pipes, and considering what to do about some of them in regard to what to smoke in them. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Almost half way through this bowl of year 2002 F&T Cut Virginia Plug in a straight smooth brown 1920s LHS Purex double patent no. 1587048 and 19085630 Real Briar Root Silver Circle 42 apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem. I decided there wasn't much tobacco left in the jar, so why not smoke it? Somewhere, I have twelve tins in a box, but I couldn't find which one it was. Eventually I will, though.

Now smoking year 2020 D&R Penhooker Silver in a medium bend 2000 thin stem sandblasted black silver spigot Ardor Urano Sherlock Holmes #68/100 D.R. briar calabash with a smooth flared top and a black acrylic stem. Checking to see if there's any ghost in this pipe.

I decided to finish cleaning up this antique store find that has been sitting on my workbench for a couple of months.
What a nice little pipe! The briar is very nice. No fills that I can see and some really nice bird’s eye grain along one side of the bowl. The stem is in excellent shape with only minor teeth chatter. It was quite oxidized and took some time to clean up.
First smoke in this vintage Dr. Grabow, Crown, Duke with some WCC American Cut Plug Mixture and a glass of ice water.
