Finished work, fed Suzy and Molly, fed all the ferals, and had to stand around to make sure the more agressive cats didn't eat the food of the mildly tempered ones. And smoked a bowl of 1970s Philip Morris Revelation in a post-1952 Grant’s Pipe Shop Corinthian Deluxe 409 (made by Comoy’s) smooth brown medium bend bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Decided not to go to the pub during Stoptober except for meals when I go to the Crescent in Buxton.
Not taking my Visa card out except when I get my flu jab at Boots.
Will continue my swimming, litter picking and volunteering for the Don Catchment Rivers Trust; I'll be too busy for the beer ? and pipe baccy!
Will do all my shopping online next month and do some more baking; sorted all my clothes and bag that need sewing - then start making Christmas cards and presents ?!
Keeping busy and active will stop me getting tempted into smoking my clay pipe!
Done ? over 1 million steps now; will do some more baking tomorrow!
That’s excellent Dan, good on you mate. ??

That is so sad to hear. An example of "McDonald-lisation". ?

The thing about English muffins and the "holes" is to slather warm or toasted muffins with butter and marmalade/jam then end up licking the melted butter off your fingers. ?
I have to go with a bit of crumpet for that kind of experience ? nothing like a burnt end buttery crumpet on a chilly autumn night.

Afternoon everyone, I opened up my tin of 2021 HH Rustica yesterday and was very pleasantly surprised. It took me a while to place the aroma but it’s A1 Steak Sauce (HP Sauce for us Brits) and ketchup, the taste was earthy and woody, a perfect Autumn smoke. Strong nic hit yes but more subtle and complex than I was expecting. I smoked it in Christine Mkll which I usually reserve for plugs but it’s small bowl was perfect for this blend.
Anyhoo I’m glad I got a tin and might get another to go to the back of the shelf for a few years.
I’m starting today with stoved Escudo in the Barling Pick Axe with original stem and have Kentucky Bird lined up for the second in the Jima 2000.image.jpg
