These London made 1915 WW1 period stummels are nicely made and finished with no filler but the thin silver mounts are poor quality compared to earlier and later examples.
I'd rather see WW1 pipes with electro-plated mounts that still look good after more than 100 years

Chiefing a huge, fat bowl of Cornell and Diehl's Burley Flake #1 in a Rossi Vittoria brute of a briar. I love this pipe. Vulcanite stem that looks as good as acrylic makes clenching no problem. The sublime, clean feeling of a burley nic hit is washing my cares away!

Princess Mary gift tin. You don't see the pipes very often. I have one of the tins with the tobacco and cigarettes and the trench lighter with the salt Peter impregnated wick that smolders and acts as a lighter. My Uncle Charlie sent it home since he either rolled his own or smoked Woodbines. Makes you wonder how many of those tins wound up in a drawer as a curio.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, tuna steaks and asparagus dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm close to finishing this bowl of year 2013 Stonehaven in a straight black sandblasted 1957 Barling Exel 249 Fossil T.V.F. black billiard with a silver banded military mount and a black ebonite tapered stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Braves-Dodgers game.
