Princess Mary gift tin. You don't see the pipes very often. I have one of the tins with the tobacco and cigarettes and the trench lighter with the salt Peter impregnated wick that smolders and acts as a lighter. My Uncle Charlie sent it home since he either rolled his own or smoked Woodbines. Makes you wonder how many of those tins wound up in a drawer as a curio.LONDON MADE / AP stamped on the mount with marks for London 1915

These London made 1915 WW1 period stummels are nicely made and finished with no filler but the thin silver mounts are poor quality compared to earlier and later examples.
I'd rather see WW1 pipes with electro-plated mounts that still look good after more than 100 years
