Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I just finished smoking year 2016 Sutliff 507-C Slices in a black sandblast PSB medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 228/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
Now smoking year 2013 Dunhill Flake in a straight smooth 1960 Dunhill DR 137 group 4 root briar canted dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Listening to the Braves-Mariners game on the XM since MLB loves to get more money out of Apple TV broadcasts, but not from me.
We’re nearly at that perfect time of the year here in Chicago when the day are warm and the nights are cool. Thought I would enjoy a fire along with some Pease Westminster in honor of the Queen.
Opened this tin of 2010 Union Square with a Peterson Natural Spigot (65).
This tobacco did well in a smaller pipe and is definitely much better with age on it.
Not a the biggest fan of the smaller 65, as I got it as more of a quicker smoke and an easy clencher, but the bowl holds more than I thought it would and lasted close to an hour.
Enjoyed a tasty Envy apple, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 2020 D&R Raccoon’s Delight in my very reliable smooth straight post-1938 pre-Republic Peterson Sterling Canadian with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Been working and listening to the ball game.
A couple of minutes away from smoking D&R Penhooker Silver in a straight smooth brown undated pre-Republic Peterson Shamrock 263 Canadian with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite p-lip stem. Fed ferals, and am going back to work.
A third of the way through this bowl of Wilke Hearth of Galway in an undated smooth straight medium brown made in France Saillard Lord Clerit lumberman with a black vulcanite saddle stem.
Enjoying Gawith, Hogarth &Co. Dark Plug in an old Barling Make Dublin. We’re seeing the effects of the Baja hurricane here in the Mohave desert. No rain (back to normal) but a nice cooling off-85 degrees on my back porch this evening. Nice flavor from this buy of a year ago.
A third of the way through this bowl of year 2013 Sam Gawith Squadron Leader in a straight post-1981 GBD Prehistoric 133 billiard with brass accents, the letter K stamped on the shank with a tapered black vulcanite stem.
Enjoyed a tasty Jazz apple, and am nearing the half way mark on this bowl of Wilke Golden Sceptre in a late 40s, early 50s straight black sandblasted Wagner British Thorn 495 (Comoy’s second) pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Fed the ferals again, and am listening to The Molle Mystery Theater as I do a little more work.
