I've been enjoying mostly virginia's and virginia/perique blends most of the summer. Now that there is a fall nip in the air I broke back into one of my favorite lat blends tonight. Gaslight! Oh how I've forgotten how much I enjoy this one.

Had a wonderful "episode" of our Saturday ZOOM "Brady Bunch Social Smoke," with folk from around the country and Australia. I smoked my Dino's Balkan Blend (McClelland's 5100, Syrian Latakia, Blending Oriental and D&R's Yenidje), in an Upshall Sandblasted Zulu, with a saddle stem, from the late 80s. I showed it to Barry Jones at a Chicago Show in the early 2000s, and he said, "Yeah, I remember this one." Very cool.
A very satisfying afternoon.

I like this blend a lot now, but I think I'm going to leave it alone for a few months and see what happens to it. It really has a certain something that Newminster SRS lacks, and it's damn tasty.
