That's some excellent information, I appreciate that man. I really do think Mastro Geppetto will be my next buy, I've had my eye on a couple on SP. There was one a few months ago I almost bought and I waited too long, someone bought it. But there one on SP right now I've been drooling over. I ain't gonna say which one or show ya cause I don't want anyone to see it. 😂
You won’t believe it, but I was actually about to buy that Mastro Geppetto pipe (on a pic)— the thickness of the bowl walls really appealed to me. But then, quite unexpectedly, a huge selection from my favorite carver Mario Pascucci appeared! I’ve had the pleasure of corresponding with him personally about briar quality, and of course, I can’t betray the master 😁 So yes — one of his pipes is already sitting in my cart. I won’t brag about it until I actually buy it.

Enjoyed some apple cinnamon raisin cake, and am now smoking year 2017 Esoterica Dorchester in a straight smooth dark brown octagonal paneled mid-60s-early 70s Corporate Era Barling 4945 London England T.V.F. billiard with a square shank and black tapered square stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo.

Sample #3 from @Goblin_Walrus was C&D St. Paddy's Day Reserve in my aromatic pipe, a Savinelli Miele 641 KS smooth bent apple. Wifey grabbed a cigarillo and joined me. Quite smooth, this one (the bowl, not the wife...actually, the wife too, nevermind). Much obliged! 9/10

Bird report: White-crowned sparrow, House finch, Dark-eyed junco, California towhee, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, Common raven, Chipping sparrow, Oak titmouse, Mountain chickadee, Spotted towhee, Bushtit, Western bluebird, and Band-tailed pigeon.

Looking forward to some golf on Monday, for the first time in ages. ⛳

Are those rainbow trout? I have only had lake trout canned and smoked. It is amazing. Have had rainbow trout and it great pan fried.
Those are indeed Rainbows. The large one is about 1.5 pounds or so, about average up here for adult trout generally, in Prince George lakes. There are much larger ones as well, but it depends on the feed of the lake or river system the lake is in. Dragon Lake near Quesnel, is a case in point. Every year someone hauls a 30+ pounder out of the lake, where they average about 6 pounds. Downside is that the extreme chemistry of the lake makes them inedible - which is a good thing because a real trophy lake is rare. We don't have a long growing season here, but if there are Kokanee in the lake, they will remain small and the trout large.
