Today it was Sugar Barrel (the Sutliff match) in my latest home-made cob. I really need to stop making corncob pipes – I don’t need any more pipes but this one (like the previous one) smokes so darn well there’s little chance I’ll ever toss it. Oh well, poor me…another great smoking pipe with a yummy old codger blend during a beautiful late Fall day in Alaska. I guess I got nothing to complain about.

Busy day with final closing out of garden and organizing/storing garden equpiment, hoses, patio umbrellas… before a weather system hits tomorrow.
Now, relaxing with some Gatlin-Burlier Newfound blend. A great burley n’ bright blend- reminds me a little of Sutliff J4.
Happy Friday All!

You’re the second person I’ve seen in the last 2 days smoking Gatlin-Burlier blends. I’m only about 1.5 hours away and should pay a visit soon after the fall leaf crowd leaves (heh) and before Christmas. Nice pipe too!

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. Hope tomorrow will be an off diet day. I'm half way through this bowl of year 2014 FVF in a much cherished smooth, brown straight grain three quarter bend 1979 Becker M 4 heart brandy with a black acrylic saddle stem. One of the best smoking pipes that I own. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the World Series with Sleepy Suzy by my side. Molly Danger is on the chair with m'lady. Daisy the Feral Princess is snoozin' on the couch. The others are outside. Tomato the Brave was inside earlier, and loving the attention from your truly until Molly Danger saw that and ran up to Tomato and did a bit of hissing. Tomato ran to the door and I let the poor fella out. Molly didn't used to be this aggressive, but she's had enough of scampers and ferals. The only one Molly doesn't mess with is Daisy the Feral Princess. Daisy keeps plenty of space between her and Molly.
