Savored yet another sunrise over my little corner of Dogtown while smoking a gold-banded estate Ehrlich State with square shank and saddle bit. Today's charge was an experiment: half Pegasus and half Carter Hall. This mixture shows promise, but I'm going to have to experiment with the percentages, as the flavor of the latter predominated. A cup of hot, black coffee stood sentinel with me and my thoughts.

Off now to mow the yard before the falling temperature and accompanying rain arrive this afternoon.

Well Paul, as I read the results of the Dodger's game last night, I thought about how happy your wife must be on the victory. Also, I'm sure that you and @JimInks were astounded to see Ohtani do something no one else has done in the majors..... pitch six scoreless innings and hit 3 homers. Simply amazing....

This is a new blend that I find just fantastic! Nice creamy smoke and tasty. I’ve had this pipe about a year but have never smoked it before today because I hated the stem. Was planning to replace it but, dang it, it smokes wonderfully! Now what?

While I'm sad my Beermakers wont be moving on in the playoffs, I can sleep easy knowing they knocked out the Cubs and ultimately couldn't beat the team who, with the biggest budget in MLB, woke up at the right time. So, heres to hoping Seattle moves forward.
