Now smoking Watch City Jim’s Golden Ticket in a year 2018 black PBS medium bend Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Baskerville with a sterling silver band and black vulcanite p-lip stem. First time smoking this pipe. I was waiting for the right blend for it. JGT goes on sale this Tuesday at 6 p.m. EST. Watching the Dodgers-Brewers game.

Continuing my travel notes from the Middle Kingdom.
I'll be trying a pack of local cigarettes from Guangxi China Tobacco Industrial Co., Ltd.—an unforgettable example of traditional flue-cured Virginias. The blend offers a clean, naturally sweet aroma with light wood and honey notes. The nicotine content is around 1.1 mg, which is quite rare in modern Western cigarettes. The leaf quality is surprisingly good: golden-brown in color, even cut, smooth burn, and a light, dry finish without a moderate harshness. Essentially, this is a simple, well-fermented Virginia with a light body—no artificial flavors, just pure tobacco. For a mass-market product, I was surprised by the quality of its execution—a 4 out of 5, in my opinion. Factories in Guangxi focus on flue-cured tobacco (flue-cured Virginia), primarily from varieties grown in the subtropical climates of Guangxi and Yunyang.

Passing the half way mark of this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. I'm watching the Ohtani show with Sleepy Suzy by my side. Harry the Hairy came in to eat, and then left. So did Tomato the Brave though he was disappointed that it was too early for his wet food.

Hey @Benedict Munsinger Those look really interesting. Out of curiosity, can you elaborate briefly on your comment regarding nicotine content? I know literally nothing about cigarettes or nicotine milligrams. Is that higher, lower, or what compared to "modern Western cigarettes?" Thanks!! 😻

Now smoking 2023 KBV Verge Engine Santa Drive in a 1978 Peterson Deluxe 20S medium bend smooth dark brown billiard with a silver cap military mount black vulcanite saddle p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. It's time for Tomato the Brave's wet food.

It's hard to say—converting 0.0000423288 oz of nicotine in one cigarette is quite a small amount! 😂 Nowadays, modern cigarettes in the West typically contain half as much nicotine (and recently, they’ve even stopped listing the content of tar and nicotine on packs altogether), all of which is tied to the policy of combating smoking. I remember (90s) that the export full-flavor Lucky Strike Red used to have about 0.9–1.0 mg of nicotine per cigarette. I really liked them (they added Kentucky).

Happy belated birthday! @OzPiper🎂🥳🎉

Just got back from a trunk-or-treat at my sons school. Kids had a blast and we got to see some friends we haven't seen in awhile.

Since the kids are busy stuffing themselves with candy I came to the garage for a little treat of my own -Straus' Sleepy Hallow 🎃 🍂 loaded in my Bent Hunter Falcon with a chimney meer bowl.

Followed by a bowl of GH&Co Rodeo loaded in my Stanwell POTY 2024.

Hope you all have a great evening ✌️😊
