Half way through this bowl of year 2000 SWRA in a straight smooth 2024 Peterson Red Killarney 264 Canadian with metal accents around the shank and a black acrylic p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Went to see if Tomato the Brave and Harry the Hairy wanted to eat, but they weren't here. I'll try again later.

Smoking some 2023 1792 Flake in an Altinay meerschaum. Wife was out here and I tried to get her smoking with some Autumn Evening. She quickly quit after smoking too fast. I’m not a fan of aromatics but I have been really gravitating towards “old world” aros, specifically lakelands. Ennerdale, St. Bruno, Erinmore, 1792 are just some of the blends I’ve really been enjoying.

Enjoyed a small, but tasty red delicious apple, and then smoked a bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the original 515 that Basil Rathbone smoked, and the model that he smoked it in. Tomato the Brave showed up, ate well, and roaming around the kitchen. When I opened the back door, he gave two "yips". When we went to the kitchen, and I opened a can of wet food, I got two more "yips". When he finished eating he came to me with a big smile for a head scratch. Daisy the Feral Princess is still by my feet. Dunno where Harry the Hairy is. Sleepy Suzy is still by my side. Molly Danger is snoozin' in the bed room.

Just ordered a tin of Horizons, excited to try.
Walter Sobchak is a fine source of guidance! Am I the only one around here that gives a - anyway…
I also spied a red-tailed hawk this week, they’re beautiful creatures. You see many vultures, like turkey vultures? They’re cool too.
It's good stuff. I'm up to my eyeballs in English blends, so a stock-up is unlikely, but I'm happy to have tried it.

Donny, you're out of your element!! Mark it zero! :ROFLMAO:

They're our most common accipiter up here, and certainly help in keeping the rodent population in check. They're also surprisingly large, if you get the chance to see 'em up close. Turkey vultures are a rare sight this high (approx. 5,500'), but I have seen them in the lower elevations from time to time. Condors are the best, very rare, but they're HUUUUUGE. And exclusive to carrion, which, considering how people drive these days, is quite common.

Last smoke of the day is Wilke Back Bay w/o perique in a straight black sandblasted 1924 Parker’s Super Briar Bark 11 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe was made in the second year of Parker production. Just let Tomato the Brave out. I'll read as long as this bowl lasts.

Sorry I'm late to the parties, but Happy Birthday to spearheadbill, and Happy Anniversary to Servant King and dottlejockey!
Linda and I celebrated our 54th. anniversary Friday with a wonderful dinner at one of Chicago's best Greek restaurants, Psistaria, in Lincolnwood.
I closed the festivities with an Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story and some of The Macallan 12.

Congrats! Excellent choice of cigar and a nice malt for the pairing. Well done.

Speaking of pairings...this morning's sunrise, for me, shall be accompanied by a pairing of Italian roast coffee and a bowl of Pee Dee in a '76 Pete Tawny Deluxe. Time to hit the smoking spot.
