Got the sheep moved this morning and the chicken run cleaned out. Just mixed up some sourdough bread dough to Autolyse while I enjoy some ‘21 OGS in the Briarworks 10th anniversary Zulu. Out relaxing on the south patio.
This is Bella’s, “ Get up and throw my frisbee” look.

We Harvested our sweet potatoes, two days ago before the freeze came. We had an excellent crop. Here’s the monster of the lot- 5.8 pounds!

I'm not entirely sure what I am smoking right now haha. It was listed as Black Bayou, so it must be either the Charles Fairmorn Black Bayou Mist or the F&K Black Bayou Mist (I think?).
Regardless, it's definitely an English, Latakia-forward, with a bit of Perique and a touch of Dark Fired Kentucky. I think there are some Virginias as well. Reminds me of a milder (Match) Nightcap.

On this off diet day, my lunch was a Jethro Bodine size bowl of Raisin Bran followed by a big plate of shepard's pie with a hot fudge sundae for dessert. And, I'm still thinking of food. Anyway, I'm close to finishing this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Coffee from a freshly opened bag of Gold Star Papua New Guinea, neat, is my drink. Getting ready to match meers with two review blends.

5-year old Capstan Blue in a Lasse Skovgaard bent egg.

Has anyone else noticed that VAPERs and pure Virginias seem to lose depth and sweetness when the humidity (not the tobacco) is very dry? Normally, we have outdoor dewpoints in the 70's in summer and upper 50's in fall. Today, only 30-degree dewpoint, humidity is 25%. Tasting flat and "cigarette" like.
