How much do you mix up at a time and what type of scale are you using?

I multiply by .3 and it usually comes out to around 8 gram samples. I use a digital scale that’s not the best but it works. The scale won’t go below 2 grams, I don’t think.
I multiply each component by .3 and the sample comes to around 8-9 grams, here’s the scale. I constantly question my math skills, I’m just winging it.

I really envy those of you with the sophisticated palates. Hard as I try I have difficulty distinguishing unless I look at the tin and read the label. I either like the taste or I don't but that's about it.
However, when it comes to salt, pepper, butter, ketchup or mayonnaise I'm good.
