This afternoon Sutliff 507-C, 3/4 bowl in the Peterson Pub with 9mm Blitz filter. Sublime but not long enough. Later Sutliff 507-C in a MM Mark Twain cob with long forever stem and a Dr. Perl Jr. 6mm filter to remember how the filter effects smoke for the filter thread. 14 mph wind all day so both pipes went a little quicker and hotter so I had to adjust draw accordingly and partially shield the bowl with my hand.

After some cleaning, I'm hoping the aro ghost is out. Now smoking Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a straight smooth brown undated Gesandt Canadian made in England with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Dunno who made it, but there's no model number so it probably isn't a Comoy's or Sasieni pipe. This pipe was originally owned by Poul Schluter who was the prime Minister of Denmark from 1982-1993.

After working on the kitchen renovation, I am relaxing with a bowl of CD BF#3 in 1956 250 root billiard and cold beverage on my deck enjoying the late afternoon sunshine and the light breeze…

It was below freezing overnight but warmed up enough for a couple mile long walk with the dog. I smoked a 50/50 mix of Two Nuns and a home-made cherry blend in my mystery Red Root. It was an excellent smoke, but the conditions were so perfect, anything would have been great.

Found some pipes at an antique store in Bell Buckle TN, but didn’t buy anything. There were a couple Grabows that were mildly interesting, but I don’t feel like paying for projects right now, the PAD bug is busy elsewhere.
