I happily discovered I still had some corn silk & cherry tobacco blend today. I loaded it in my old 1960s Dr. Grabow and enjoyed a warm, sunny Fall afternoon in Alaska. I smoked the pipe at the top of my back yard, which is a steep hill. I’ve terraced out a switch-back path and a couple of flat spots big enough for chairs. The dog loves keeping an eye out for squirrels from the elevated vantage point. The leaves are mostly off the trees now and I’m just about finished with pre-winter tasks, which is good as there are snow flurries in the weather forecast.

I wound up having another bowl of OJK in a corncob, down to the last crumbles of this bag I got and the dusty bits are real nice for topping a bowl and getting it to light good. Gonna let the next few ounces I got age while I get into something new but I really see why so many of yall have this as your daily driver.

Tonight "stuff" ...
1 - Almost 1/3 thru Oct, so figured it would be appropriate to dip into my home blend I named Autumn '12, my Aro concoction from ... of course ... 2012. I finally opened the jar 2 years ago ('22), savoring its 10 years of age.
2 - End of Apr, I picked up a bottle of Gin ... Gin & Tonics for the Summer, right? Had the last splash last week, but still have some Tonic. Checking the Internet, I found that Tonic & Whiskey is good, so will give this a try. I'm like the Clay King, nothing wasted around here! Hard to understand my sister & my good friend who don't (won't) eat leftovers. My kitchen preps would be anathema to them.
3 - Trying to hold a good thought for the Gulf Coast of Florida communities tonight ... Tampa Bay, Clearwater Beach, Sarasota, Ft Myers Beach plus Orlando area, Daytona Beach area, Cocoa Beach area. Probably will be catastrophic.
4 - Interesting to keep reading all the good comments here on Pegasus. Never tried it, but maybe will add it to my expanding list of what may be a future TAD. The list is growing ...

I just cracked into a jar of Pegasus with a couple years on it. I'll bring to club next week, hope to see you there!

Back in Kansas City this week. Had some Carolina Red Flake delivered. It’s quite an experience. Nothing like I expected. Will withhold judgement until I can explore it some more as I know it’s a well loved blend. Also, have a lot of Red Virginia growing in my backyard that I’m harvesting so timely getting to know a red Virginia blend like this.
