Yes it’s a bent Mark Twain and I think it’s one of my favorites. It just has everything going for it. The chamber is narrow enough to make the blends sing and the chamber walls are thick enough. One of the things that’s important to me is the shank bowl junction… this one is right up against the hardwood plug and there’s no room for bits to get stuck down in there. It’s important that I don’t have a bunch of space under the shank inside the bowl. My only complaint is that sometimes the Twain’s chip along the top edge of the bowl but it adds character. I highly recommend the Twain. Is that a Mark Twain cob? The Twain is on my short list.
Wow, I love that! Did you get this from eBay? There was one there for a while with excellent grain but I never pulled the trigger on it.
