- Interesting indeed: how does the Catlinite affect the smoking experience? Is it at all like a Meerschaum, or a ceramic? (I did smoke one once, but it was only a brief toke at a Chanyupa ceremony and many years ago).Virginia number one in a horsekeeping LLC catlinite pipe. A very interesting smoke!
Only a Hunter could complain about an unseasonably warm day and only a Hunter would understand.Gross unseasonably warm fall day. KBV Oriental Affair in a meer to cheer me up.

Please do keep posting updates, if it's not too much trouble.I've never smoked ceramic. Unlike meerschaum it doesn't mute the flavors at all but did impart a buttery taste to the tobacco. This may go away with usage as this was my first smoke in it.
The bowl has very thin walls and got rather hot, so I had to let it rest quickly. The chamber is ridiculously small as well, my pinky finger hardly fit. If you'd like I could keep you updated but honestly I think it was 100% worth the $50 dollar expense USD.
