First time (I think) smoking some Comoys Scottish Mixture. The presence of Oriental leaf is apparent, there's even a tinge of what seems to me- Syrian latakia??.
Whatever they're doing at K&K, I think it works here, and I don't even like/smoke latakia. If you like oriental heavy blends and can tolerate a LITTLE latakia flavor, this is one to look out for. In the Pipe Tristan cutty w/ horn.

Chenets cake in two of my larger pipes to start this Sunday. Eltang brandy snail and an Ilsted that was listed as a billiard but looks brandyish to me. This Ilsted was an estate that someone smoked the shit out of. I probably wouldn’t have been able to afford it if it had been in pristine condition. It smokes amazing and will likely last a couple more lifetimes.

I finally found a pipe to dedicate to the following blend. Having L. J. Peretti Tashkent in a NOS (new old-stock) L. J. Peretti Straight Grain Smooth Pot, while I work on the new issue of Weird Tales.

Based on the stamping, I have my suspicions that this may be a Savinelli Straight Grain 106 from the 1960s—if anyone knows otherwise, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
