Well, first day of post break in fast started today. Not suffering in the least. Lotsa good cheap cigars in my drawer, and I still have a pair of Swishers, Colts (hidden behind the jar of "chew", and which I used today while teaching a couple of violin and piano students. They didn't notice. I'll have that Phillie's Blunt Berry to end the shebang on Saturday night. Looks like it picked up a few stray tobaco bits . . . . didn't notice that until now. Ain't gonna retake the pic, either.

Started the day with a couple of little Captain Blacks and Smokin' Joes. and will do the same tomorrow and Saturday. Like, I'm suffering lol! Looking forward though, to lighting up a bowl of Black Frigate in the Ropp Sunday afternoon. See U then! but wiill check in and see what's going on, In the mean time, enjoying getting a lip and tongue rest. Lips were chapped from a nose drizzle caused by allergies, which I get in the fall. Mushroom spores, I think. Every year. Hmmmmm . . . too much information methinks but i'm not going to edit, either.

Don't forget that tomorrow is World Opera Day. I'm going to celebrate by watching Carmen! 4 hours of bliss!

Cheers!

Steamworks in my Shell-Meer Peterson. This is a great combo!!

Steamworks is one of the great tobaccos I've tasted. Have to be careful with it, only have two tins and can't get any more. I smoke mine in a great little McQueen miniature for a short but excellent 20 minute smoke. Have to guard those rare treasures and stretch their life out any way you can, eh? Great looking pipe, too! Great combo indeed!

Tonight was a MM cob stuffed with KBV Haunted Viriginia.
Good tasting blend with the sweet, yeasty breadiness one expects from a good virginia.
As the bowl comes together it trades some sweetness for a bit of earth and leather with a very slight citrus undertone.
Be warned that there is a mid-tongue spiciness throughout the bowl that can bite if one isn't careful. So go slow and sip it.
I think a bit of age will go nicely on this blend.
