@AreBee Down here in NJ our acorns came down about 4 weeks ago and were abundant this year. Extremely dry here, no rain in over 20 days. Doing yard work all morning and a quick pipe in a cob with some home mix. Will clean up a bit, have lunch and then send up some smoke signals asking for a rain dance.
Extremely dry here as well. Last measurable rain here was September 8th and nothing in the forecast for the rest of the month. Acorns have been plentiful this year and with a stiff breeze today I was getting pelted!

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and have passed the quarter mark of this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Papua New Guinea, neat, is my drink. Fed all the ferals except for the absent Abner the Eager.

I was low on burleys so I ordered some Big 'n Burley and some Macbaren Golden Extra. I've enjoyed B & B many times but hadn't ever tried the Macbaren G.E. (one bowl was okay. I expect I will need to keep trying it to get its best appreciation, or hope so.)
It's warm today and I am loath to turn on the A/C so please forgive the picture of me with my original Legend using a replacement vulcanite P lip that fits my "Barrel". Big 'n Burley burning. (damned if I didn't get the hiccups already!)WIN_20241023_15_18_13_Pro.jpg

Trade ya! Froze last night, and we're due for snow! :ROFLMAO: Used to love the stuff, but I'm 73 now and don't like anything below 68 degrees! Apparently it happens!
