How do you like your Skovgaard?
Really great smoker, light, clenchible if you are into that. Great shallow, Danish style blast, feels good in hand. That said, I had another of his and it was a great smoker, just couldn’t get excited about the shape and traded it in. Someone will like it I’m sure.

It’s one of those in my collection I’d travel with, I tend to baby my smooths so it’s nice to have a few dependable dark finish blasts when it won’t hurt my feelings if I scratch it, etc.

Good Saturday morning all. I was up way too early to watch the English Premier League. Then I fell asleep again so I guess I needed the extra couple of hours. Now smoking Vauen Tradition #2 in a Rossi Lucca 8121 EX that is proving quite challenging to break in completely.

Not far from finishing this bowl of early 2000s Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Taking the day off to watch the baseball playoffs, although the first game (Orioles and Rangers) is in rain delay. I'll be DVRing the other three games so I can watch them all.

Thanks to those wishing me a speedy recovery, it’s not better yet, probably because it’s just too damn hard to not smoke but what are you gonna do!
I picked up a very special set last week that was owned by a CSM (Company Sergeant Major) in the Artist’s Rifles in WWl, a regiment that later became the SAS. I’ll be putting it on a thread later as I’ve managed to find out some history about the owner and am researching some more.
Anyhoo I’m going to use the one pipe in there that has been smoked (no more than once or twice) with some Wessex BS. A army mount GBD hallmarked Birmingham 1915. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Beautiful fall Saturday. Been choking down dried out Rum Flake all week cause thought of throwing it out seems wasteful. And rehydrating just takes up jar space. So I decided to go to one of my faves WCC Deluxe Crumb Cut in a Peterson 312 the old man used to puff on. Couldnt be tastier IMG_0189.jpeg
