I don't think I've seen a Wellington with that "fin". Is there a designated name for the shape?Good morning. Just finished watching the sun rise while enjoying a good cup of coffee and the inaugural smoke of my latest rejuvenation project, a sterling clad WDC "The Wellington" filled with Balkan Supreme.

I picked up a very special set last week that was owned by a CSM (Company Sergeant Major) in the Artist’s Rifles in WWl, a regiment that later became the SAS. I’ll be putting it on a thread later as I’ve managed to find out some history about the owner and am researching some more.
Anyhoo I’m going to use the one pipe in there that has been smoked (no more than once or twice) with some Wessex BS. A army mount GBD hallmarked Birmingham 1915. View attachment 251675View attachment 251678View attachment 251681
Thanks! I find the Lovat to be a very agreeable shape as well. I found this in a Junk shop a few years ago and it was a disaster. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Bird's eye underneath the grime.Nice old Pete, lovats are probably my favorite classic shape. Looks like some decent birdseye as well.
Most good tobacco start their life as a plug. But the very best amongst them transforms themselves into a shag cut before reaching the hands of the discerning gentle smokerCshubra-approved dark birds eye in the Nording Quail to start the day.
