Went to Nantwich again yesterday; had a clay at Mill Island (Battle re-enactment field) & a pint and a clay at the Red Cow (the pub where I had a pint & a clay with one of the Sealed Knot re-enactors). Didn't break my clay this time!
The Red Cow is a proper local pub with accommodation in [displaylocation]. We are proud to serve Robinsons award winning ales, join us and you’ll always find a warm Robbies’ welcome.

I was smoking Kendal Gold in the clay; Clan & Prince Albert sound too Royalist for Nantwich is it was Parliamentarian in the civil war
My outward train journey from Derby to Crewe was delayed due to a level crossing fault at "Ewetoxeter" and terminated at Stoke on Trent. As it was a 20-25min wait for my connection I had a pint of Titanic Steerage on Stoke station, where the pub on the platform has a barrier across the middle because of the ticket barriers.
Didn't go out of Stoke on Trent or Derby stations; no clay pipe due to the smoking ban at stations.
Got time in between trains at Crewe so got the next train to Stoke on Trent for another pint. By the evening the level crossing fault at "Ewetoxeter" had been sorted so my return journey was only about 10min late so I didn't have to rush my pint. Got given 3 cans of cider & 3 beers yesterday!
