Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2020 Peter Heinrichs Golden Sliced in a smooth straight brown pre-transition Barling 313 T.V.F. EXEXEL pot with a black ebonite saddle stem.

Then, I smoked a bowl of year 2010 Mac Baren Burley London Blend in a smooth medium bend 2011 Rinaldo Collection Fiammata Silver Line 7 Odea 04 flame grain bulldog with a silver band and a tortoise shell acrylic saddle stem. Deciding on what to smoke next as I finish a little snacking.

As the sun goes down and the first snow of the season begins to fall here in Minnesota, I'm out on a walk smoking my faithful Country Gentleman cob and trying Lane 1-Q for the very first time. It's a bit light and sweet for my tastes, but I can definitely see why so many people like this one. What it lacks in body and Vitamin N it makes up for in agreeableness and ease of smoking. It's totally inoffensive and rather pleasant in it's own way, just not quite my sort of tobacco I don't think.

On the plus side, it did give me one of those, "Ah ha, so that's what my grandpa used to smoke!" moments. I think what he smoked was a bit more bold in the flavor department (based on the occasional puffs I used to sneak from his pipes here and there as a youngin) but it was extremely similar in taste and aroma, so I'm guessing he smoked Lane RLP-6. I do have a sample of RLP-6 jarred up that I still need to try, so I'll have to give it a go later tonight to see if my guess was right.puffy

A tumbler of Peach/Mango Green Tea with a fistful of bergs was my beverage.
Boo!
I must say, the peach and mango green tea packets are amazing. Typically, I drink close to a pot of coffee during the day and up to a two liter of diet soda at night.

After seeing a bunch of your posts about the beverage, I looked it up (and a large grocery chain has their own version at a reduced price). Taking the leap of faith, I enjoyed the tea so much that I now keep a pitcher in the fridge and a special tumbler of it full at all times.

The tea has helped reduce my soda intake, which I suppose is a good thing. So thank you for posting what you enjoy.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, two big French cut pork chops with pork and beans on the side dinner. Dessert was strawberries. I'm smoking year 2021 HU Directors Cut in a smooth slight bend dark brown 1940s-1950s Comoy’s Blue Riband 228C prince with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.
