I had my first pipe in nearly three weeks! I've been fighting a nasty UTI and felt quite well enough today to meet with my ZOOM buddies. It was just four of us today, many of the others are in Las Vegas.
I smoked some Samovar in my Sixten Ivarsson designed Stanwell 90, a small, slightly bent, squashed tomato with a saddle bit. Great smoke with great company.
Yikes! “The Adventure Of The Resident Patient”. ;)

Glad you are on the mend!

Yesterday’s smoke out the the BST Swan Neck LC surprised me. I started around 4:08 pm when the UFC prelims started and was expecting the smoke to last until 7:00 pm when the main card would start based on my initial smoking voyage with the big pipe; granted, I stopped three hours into the smoke because I had to go to bed and didn’t actually finish everything in the chamber. However, I was unprepared to get over four and a half hours out of the pipe yesterday. I smoked to the bottom this time and it took me to around 8:44 pm, just before the main event started. Plum Pudding certainly smokes slower than a ribbon, but I didn’t think a 4.5 hour smoke was going to happen. This is a perfect pipe to have when watching UFC!

I made a post in the General Discussion section the other day for those who might be interested; I recently completed moving the last of my stuff in storage in Long Island, New York to our house in Pennsylvania—I came across a box that contained a bunch of record covers that my father designed (and illustrated) in the 1950s. I had promised awhile back to share some of them and have finally been able to do so. You can find the post here.

Watching some excellent rugby, England Vs Fiji which we are seconds away from winning 🤞🤞
Smoking Jolly Old St Nick in a 1906 HJ Meer win a silver shield on the bottom of the bowl. Drinking a Sazarac which I make with half Rye and half Cognac, I put the liquor in the freezer first and the rocks glass with Absinthe rinse so I don’t have to dilute it with ice. image.jpg

Titans laid an egg early this morning. Silver lining it was a good excuse to drink a beer before noon. View attachment 253640Windjammer in an Eltang
I had Baltimore in two different parlays for today. Tennessee has treated me well this weekend.
On the subject of the Titans (who I don't dislike), I'm a fan of Will Levis and I hope he gets a chance to show what he's capable of before he leaves the team.

Part way through this bowl of early 2000s Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed Daisy the Feral Princess, Tomato the Brave and Abner the Eager, and Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Smoking some more GH Kendal Dark (2021) in a Radice Rind Brandy's Liver G. Haven't ever seen many Rind rustications adorn their brown stain as a finish, which I think looks stunning (apologies for the lackluster lighting).

Pup wanted in on the background shot, out hunting for lizards, protecting her territory. Starting Sunday morning (my Saturday) off right. I hope all are well and enjoying their smokes!

I got some Stonehaven from this years drop and it is a night and day difference from last years release. G&S didn't hold back on the topping.
I was fortunate to pick up some '18 (for a more than fair aftermarket price) from @hoosierpipeguy when he moved. That's the only version I've tried. It's the Pappy version of tobacco. It's great but not worth $75/oz.
