I'm glad you happened to find this one. Not for everybody, but definitely a good bet for someone who likes perique.I remember now, I heard Rick Newcombe talk about this blend on the Pipe Mag podcast, I tend to take his suggestions seriously, I would have never known about it otherwise.
Thanks, Scott definitely makes some really beautiful pipes that smoke well and at half the cost.Wow, I guessed J Davis before reading, Scott makes some nice stuff!

I went on a big San Andres kick this year and found some great smokes. Definitely a wrapper I'm fond of. Tatuaje was my intro and still some of my favoritesEarlier in the morning I smoked Daughters and Ryan Three Sails in a Savinelli Silver 606 EX.
Now it is cigar time. Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro.
Despite having only a 100 cigar humidor, I occasionally find treasures in the bottom. I am a huge fan of Oliva Melanio with the San Andreas wrapper, and get the Maduro only as a part of a sampler. I am almost out of Melanios, and as I was searching the bottom of the humidor, I found the Maduro.
It is supposed to be 51% perique,I haven't tried The Beast, not sure on that one.
