Where are you living over there? I’ve been to Australia in the 1980s hitchhiking with my former girlfriend along the coast from Sydney, Brisbane up to Perth in seven weeks. Met a lot of friendly people there. Most invited us to stay a few days at their homes. She left Germany, and is living in NSW for more than 20 years now, her mother comes from Sydney.

I hope the rain will not turn out to a flood.

Just smoking some Black and Beauty from Kiel. Perique/ Cavendish/ Virginias in one of my homemades with Cumberland mouthpiece, stained in South African Pinotage.

Have a nice day.

Wow did you really use red wine to stain your pipe?

Yes, i soaked it for a few hours in Pinotage on the outside. It turned out in a light hue on the grain, that got deeper by overall darkening the wood. The rim I coloured a month or so later with alcohol stain in burgundy similar to the Cumberland stem.

You can use a water based or natural stains as tea, coffee, plant extacts as well as alcohol stain. The only thing is the colour is not as intense, and you have to wait some time before you can go on with the work.

About a third of a bowl left of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

Did a set of walking reps, and smoked a bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching Mad Dog Russo. Yankees-Guardians game is rained out this evening.
