I just tried my new Peterson churchwarden, and this what i get. The prices of the tobacco just sticked to the chambers walls and it is not so easy to remove it from there, i just get scared to damage the bowl and don’t force it.

Normal. It is coated. Just twist a paper towel up and stuff it in the bowl tight and twist it around a few times and it should wipe it out.

Early evening tryout - with much trepidation - of C&D Chenet's Cake in a trusty Burak Connoisseur smooth Tankard size 2. Behaved much better than I thought it might considering it was billed as something of a "perique bomb." It was smooth and rich, no real sinus-clearing "pepper" effect (could be the pipe size and/or the benefit of having a lousy palate to start). Very nice smoke and certainly makes it onto the weekly rotation roster.

Part way through this bowl of Sutliff Cringle Flake (Holiday Edition 2021) in a black straight, grain etched family era (Post WW2) Four Dot Sasieni “Appleby” apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Working on a review of this blend.
