Just finished smoking C&D Virginia Gentleman in a straight smooth dark brown pre-1940s Comoy’s Jost’s Olde English Supreme J299 billiard with a black tapered vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs.
Part way through this bowl of C&D Yorktown in a 1991 Ashton Brindle X straight brown sandblast dublin with a square shank and tapered square acrylic cumberland stem.

Almost half way through this bowl of year 2010 Kramer’s Blend For Cary Grant in an undated unbranded straight black sandblasted short shank billiard with a long black vulcanite tapered stem.

Finished work, and before long, this bowl of D&R Raccoon’s Delight in my very reliable smooth straight WW2 Pre-Republic Peterson Sterling Canadian with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem.
Last smoke of the day is Wilke Wall Street in my old reliable straight grain brown medium bend 1986 smooth Peterson Kildare 999 Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Time to feed the feral cats.

It is one of my favourites. I didn’t get much hay when it had some time to improve in the jar.
More 2013 Samuel Gawith Best Brown Flake in a Savinelli Estella 316 EX. Finishing up this jar in the next couple of days and then will open either a jar of 2010 Full Virginia Flake or an old jar of Gawith Hoggarth Dark Flake unscented. Hell, I may just open both up lol!
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it a lot! The meaning "setting hay on fire" was for me more of a connotation, like some say I taste leather or earth. Who the hell takes earth or leather in their mouth? Well leather some, but that's something different....
