During our Saturday afternoon ZOOM, I smoked the first bowl in a new pipe, that I purchased this morning from Arlington Pipe and Cigar Lounge. I had their pipe and tobacco manager, Amu Torres (who is also the CPCC Secretary), order me a Peterson Arklow 80s. I came straight home, wiped a bit of the bowl coating with a small piece of white Scotch Brite, filled it with McClellan Samovar, and had a wonderful first smoke. The pipe was fantastic, as if I'd been smoking it for months.
I paired it with a mug of Upton Tea's Baker Street Afternoon Blend (Lapsang, Keemun and Darjeeling).

About a third of a bowl left of Wilke No. 24 in a smooth straight brown 1949 Yello-Bole Century Model Lovat with a nickel band accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem.
Now smoking Wilke No. 222 in a late 40s, early 50s straight black sandblasted Wagner (Comoy’s second) pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

Almost a third of the way through this bowl of D&R Penhooker in a 1990 straight dark brown Commemorative reproduction of the 1890 Peterson Patent System 12393 stack billiard with a silver band and a bowed black acrylic 32 AB long stem p-lip.

Just finishing this bowl of Watch City Simply VOriental in a straight smooth medium brown 1930s Wilshire 5 bulldog (Comoy’s second) made for John’s Pipe Shop in Los Angeles with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Work's done for the day, Suzy and Molly are fed, and so are three of the four feral cats who were waiting for me outside. Time for me to have a small snack.
Last smoke of the day is Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a medium bend 2002 MM Legend cob with a yellow plastic stem. Then, sleep, with any luck.

Good morning all. I’m trying something a little different this morning. Bob’s Chocolate Flake, paired the a hot cup of coffee with a healthy splash of Buffalo Trace bourbon cream. Pretty dang tasty.
Some six year old FMC in my best pipe, plus some Sutliff Balkan II in a Viprati Lumberman.
I can't say FMC is anything less than I remembered it.
Balkan II seems like a pretty average Balkan, mostly Smokey and not much for Virginia or Oriental flavors.
