I was in a disputatious mood, as I smoked my 25 year old Ropp Cherrywood 1/4 bent pipe, filled with the last of a 2014 tin of McClelland's Yenidje Highlander, during our Thursday evening Chicago "Buds" ZOOM. Great meeting; fabulous smoke.
Tasty stuff! I picked up all of Ken's halloween blends and this is the one I keep coming back to. Glad I got two bags of it.
Having some Gawith, Hoggarth, and Co Sweet Maple Twist in a Peterson K and P small bent billiard. This is my first time smoking any of the Gawith ropes, and it's absolutely delicious! Full bodied and slightly sweet. Love it.
I cut off about three dime sized coins (well, not very cleanly, more like I hacked off three dime sized poorly cut chunks), rubbed them out pretty fully, then let it dry for about 2 hrs in AZ bone dry air. It was pretty dry. Not quite perfect VA flake level dry, but pretty dry to the touch. It burned pretty well, with an average number of relights.I checked the TobaccoReviews on that and it sounds like it would be one I would enjoy. But I’m not that good with ropes after trying Irish Twist rope, couldn’t get it burning quite right to enjoy it. Maybe I’ll revisit ropes in the future
