Lane RLP-6 in a 1933 Dunhill Shell Pot. This pipe tobacco used to be my go to blend. I’d smoke it by the pound. I used to purchase it at Sanctuary Tobacco Shop in San Luis Obispo. Doug was the owner and I walked in frustrated and trying to figure pipe smoking out. Ten minutes was all it took. I purchase two pipes and 2 pounds of this blend.
Then I went to the Latakia Dark Side with Northwoods....and I smoked it so much it ruined Latakia forever. Kinda like a horrible tequila hangover.
Relaxing after a wonderful salad, filet mignon and asparagus dinner with red grapes for dessert. I'm part way through this bowl of very old W.D. & H.O. Wills VaPer Three Nuns in a 1980s White Pipe straight lattice apple meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem. Getting ready to brew some Community Coffee, and clean a few pipes as I watch the Yankees-Rays game.
About a quarter of a bowl left of the fast burning year 1945 Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company Good Old Summer-Time in a 1979 brown grain etched Lane Era Charatan's Make medium bend calabash shape 483DC with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. Have enough left for one more bowl. Watching the Dodgers-Padres game.
An after dinner smoke of Mission Pipe Shop English Oriental in that same Savinelli Roma 320. This is a local B&M blend that I always come back to and really enjoy. Need to stock up next time is visit the shop.
Almost a third of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Dunhill 965 in an undated made in Italy smooth, medium brown, medium bend egg with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite stem. This is the first time smoking this new to me pipe. As a surprise, I got a bunch of unsmoked pipes from a friend.
