About a third of a bowl left of KBV Eldritch Pipes Goblin Mixture prototype in a 2002 Ser Jacopo Delecta Fatta A Mano R1 sandblast Rhodesian with a smooth extension at the shank with a military mount and a black acrylic tapered stem. Taking a work break to feed the cats and rest my shoulder.

We celebrated our 49th. year of "her not killing me" with dinner at Chicago's Italian Village Restaurant, one of our favorites.
Bombay Sapphire Martini, up, for me, and G&T for Linda.
A "Captain's Salad," prepared at the table, was followed by Scaloppini ala Toscanini (beef marinated and cooked in a Barolo wine sauce with mushrooms), and complimented with glasses of a very nice Barbera wine. A cannoli for Linda and tiramisu for me, with an espresso.
When we got home, I enjoyed a Partagas Serie D No. 4, out under the gazebo, as we sipped some port, to keep us warm.

Skinny but elegant Bulldog style / maker unknown with TWT stamped on the mount and London marks for 1884 / also stamped HAND CUT STEM + Germain's MEDIUM FLAKE:-

Bulldogs with similar thin walled bowls and slim stems more usual on clays and meerschaums of the period than on briars:-
* Meerschaum - ECUME DE PARIS inside the case.
* Meerschaum-washed clay by C. CROP LONDON (Charles Crop & Sons 1856 - 1924).
* Clay - unknown maker.

It’s Sunday, it’s a day off, and I’m up early. Too early. Too early for decisions. But it’s never too early for coffee (the usual Peruvian roast from Sams). I just grabbed a pipe from the Stanwell 86 rack; looks like the Brushed Brown is getting the action today. This is a damn good smoker, and I got it on one of those crazy pipe sales from a former site sponsor for around twenty bucks new (hint to that former site sponsor: I learned about that crazy sale from here).

Still too early for decisions, I’m loading Prince Albert to start the day.
