Celebrated a 306-257 Scrabble victory over wifey with a bowl of Mac Baren Plumcake in my latakia aromatic pipe, a black Barling sandblasted bent egg. Chicken soup on the docket for tonight, with homegrown cabbage, of course. They're only baseball-sized, so it'll take a couple. 9/10

Bird report: Dark-eyed junco, California towhee, White-crowned sparrow, Chipping sparrow, Oak titmouse, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, American robin, American crow, Mountain chickadee, Spotted towhee, Northern flicker, and White-breasted nuthatch.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, barramundi and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. Tomorrow will be a big off diet day. I'm near the half way mark of this bowl of year 2012 Stonehaven in a straight black sandblasted 1957 Barling Exel 249 Fossil T.V.F. black billiard with a silver banded military mount and a black ebonite tapered stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching '60s and '70s Soul Celebration on PBS. Norton the Nosey is still batting stuff around the house. That li'l fella never seems to run out of energy. He drives the other cats crazy.

This one is a B3 with Cumberland and Silver. It’s funny as I have 3’s that should be 4’s and 4’s that should be 3’s ? I’ve found no rhyme or reason on grading between the 3’s & 4’s but I’ll take Bruno’s eye on it over mine
I’ve been thoroughly pleased with all of them though.

Now smoking Peretti Royal in a black sandblasted medium bend 2013 Mark Tinsky Coral 5 cherrywood with a smooth dark brown shank and bottom with a tapered black briar accented acrylic stem.

A very wet, but mild and calm, evening. MB HH ODF in an unmarked Meer with replacement acrylic stem.

It's been well above average temps for many weeks, so the roses can't figure out whether it's Spring or Autumn.

Edit to add: I guess I spoke too soon. Wind has picked up, bringing in cold air. Temps are dropping like a rock. Will freeze tonight. Poor confused roses.

Beautiful pipe! I would put a slight bend on the stem, i think it will make it even better.

I’ve gotten a couple through Nuttens in France. He tends to have some from time to time that don’t really appear on the major retailers sites and he’s very approachable if there is something specific you would like him to do.
