Tonight I drove up to an area of Texas that is a known "Dark Skies" area -- good for stargazing. 🌠 It's near Quanah, TX, about 3 hours NW of DFW. Well, they are not kidding; I've never seen so many stars. Turns out there're a lot of 'em out there! 😆 Sorry my pictures are terrible -- only had my phone. Really incredible night sky ... you'll have to take my word for it, ha ha.

I packed along a bowl of Peretti Cuban Mixture in the V.F. Cherrywood Morta. I'm so glad I pre-loaded the pipe, 'cause it's windy and cold (and dark) out here -- around 38 degrees. 🥶 I love C.M., but with the cold and wind, sadly it's not the most enjoyable smoke ...

Here are some poor photos. My apologies for taking up so much room, but I can't resize/organize them on my phone browser -- that only works on the computer for me.

And I'm starting my 3+ hour drive home! 😻

Found a circuit hot but dead in the house, and figured out that all the labels in breaker box are wrong, oh the joys of buying behind a crazy DIY owner.
Had to grab a small smoke between cussing inside and going to see if I had a good GFI out in the shop. Couldn’t fix it, but at least identified circuit so I know it’s not just hanging in an open neutral until I can figure it out tomorrow (or figure out I need to make an electrician some stupid money).

By “small smoke”, I mean literally!

Now smoking year 2012 Carter Hall in a 1929-1931 KBB Kaywoodie Drinkless 7782 straight smooth walnut bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. A few minutes ago, I went to the kitchen to refresh my water and bergs glass. Sleepy Suzy looked so precious that I had to take a photo of my darling girl. Then, I went to m'lady's chair and took one of Molly Danger.

Passing the half way mark of this bowl of year 2020 H&H Chatham Manor in a straight smooth 2023 Peterson Red Killarney 53 lovat with metal accents around the shank and a black acrylic p-lip saddle stem. Been reading. Daisy the Feral Princess has been snoozin' on her favorite blanket on the couch for a while now. Norton the Nosey was sound asleep until a minute or two ago when I let Harry the Hairy in to eat. Norton went to the kitchen because he really does like being a social butterfly whether or not the others are in the mood for it. That leads me to suspect that his original home had other cats, possibly his family. Tomato the Brave was too busy sleeping in a heated cat house to come in for his wet food.

Last smoke of the day is year 2016 D&R Two Timer in a smooth straight late 1970s Charatan Special 4148DC Reg. No. 203573 pot with a black double comfort vulcanite stem. I'll check on Tomato the Brave again very soon. Harry the Hairy is still inside.

Edit: Tomato came in when I called and ate almost three small cans of wet food plus some treats. He's happy for that and for the fact that I kept Norton away from him while he ate. Norton ate, too. Now, they are play fighting, but I'm too lazy to take pics. I do wish I had when Norton jumped over Tomato, turned around and jumped back over him. :)

Am I the only one who noticed the bird food called Real Fat Balls? Gross. Even the tweety bird is looking like “what the hell are you trying to feed me?”
You know what, I think every single one of you saw the name but are too high brow to mention it.😜
It was a semi conscious decision to include it in the picture, just for fun and giggles
