Started the morning with a Low Country custom blend in a Grabow author.

Followed that with Rivertown Sunset Velvet in a Rossi Notte author.

Hat trick with more of the Low Country shop blend in this Rossi rusticated dublin.

Stunk up the back room with an ozone generator with a big handful of estate pipes. Got to figure out a better way to do that! lol

Got the gas line repaired and making progress on the other issues at the rental property.
Enjoyed a bowl of Royal Yacht in my new Castello 55 GGG. I have to say that the draw on that humper is just sublime..... No matter whether you just want to sip it or put the pedal down every now and then, it responds just perfectly. A great enjoyment, to be sure.....

First pipe in a few days. Got called out to New Mexico last minute on Thursday and my flight was cancelled, got another flight out of another Dallas airport, connection was in Houston and they canceled my connecting flight and rescheduled to Friday morning while I was in the air. Well! My inspection window was from 5-8 Am. Not a happy camper. So I fell asleep in the Houston hobby airport at 1 am, woke up at 6 and got on a plane to Albuquerque and drove straight out there 2.5 hours to the site, luckily the site owner had a tech who could be my escort and I still got what we needed. Just got home, and I am so happy to see my wife and the dogs. Hard trip, but I earned brownie points with the boss and the client and got to see some amazing NM scenery plus a cool substation. Now unwinding, unpacking my latest ammunition order, smoking the very last of my tin of Carolina Red Flake 24 in my Pete Dracula 106. Wow, that was a whirlwind trip you took for sure. The wife and I are having dinner tonight at the resort/casino near the base of the Sandia mountains shown in your pic. Starting to get snow at the top. The mountain is right there. This picture doesn’t do it justice. I’m sitting in the large lobby, beautifully decorated for Christmas, surfing the pipe forum while the wife gambles. I hope she is done soon, I’m getting hungry.

P.S. I was a substation technician in my previous life. Construction and maintenance.

Follow Up: I went out just now during a work break to finish a second bowl of Sutliff and there is an 8 point Buck on the hillside with a Doe. This one has a winter coat almost filled in; the Doe is feeding. I'm guessing the young Buck got the Doe!
Life goes on ... again without a camera. !!! P.S. There is a deer trail all along the back stone wall across the property. The Buck is resting on the hill in front of a tree ... lying down like a dog.

I suggest you carry one especially with the spectacles you seem to keep running into! :ROFLMAO:

Wrapped up a busy day with Mac Baren Symphony in my misc. burley pipe, a Savinelli Porto Cervo 122 rusticated bent pot. This blend reminds me of all the underdog orchestral instruments...viola, English horn, alto clarinet. I'm setting myself up for a skinflute joke, so I'll just put an end to that claptrap post haste. 9/10

Bird report: Dark-eyed junco, California towhee, House finch, White-crowned sparrow, California quail, Steller's jay, California scrub-jay, American crow, Oak titmouse, Northern flicker, American robin, Red-tailed hawk, Mountain chickadee, White-breasted nuthatch, and Spotted towhee.

Turkey burgers tonight, and then I delve into Season 5 of The Chosen. Muy contento over here, although my Spanish has some room for improvement... 🤷‍♂️

Sutliff 507-C in the Barontini 1/2 spigot bent billiard with 9mm filter on the way and back from T-day shopping.

Here's the 8 point buck from this afternoon ... its still foraging on the hillside tonight when I got home.
These were taken from my porch about 40 feet away, As you can see it sat in front of a tree similar in color to its coat as camouflage.

Clearly my pipe smoking wasn't a threat or bother !

My neighbor saw the 12 point buck this morning as well and he described it as humongous.
