Tonight I drove up to an area of Texas that is a known "Dark Skies" area -- good for stargazing.

It's near Quanah, TX, about 3 hours NW of DFW. Well, they are not kidding; I've never seen so many stars. Turns out there're a lot of 'em out there!

Sorry my pictures are terrible -- only had my phone. Really incredible night sky ... you'll have to take my word for it, ha ha.
I packed along a bowl of
Peretti Cuban Mixture in the
V.F. Cherrywood Morta. I'm so glad I pre-loaded the pipe, 'cause it's windy and cold (and dark) out here -- around 38 degrees.

I love C.M., but with the cold and wind, sadly it's not the most enjoyable smoke ...

And I'm starting my 3+ hour drive home!
