Broke in a Mastro Geppetto Churchwarden with some Bayou Morning ribbon cut i’ve had sitting for a couple of years. I will probably give this one a dose of Tashkent this weekend around the fire.

A daily ration. Two pints and a whisky. Size of whiskey subject to the days challenges .Thursday triple fisting!

Im still figuring it out , i haven’t gotten the technique down yet. I will report back. I have got a couple kitchen knives sharp but not scalp sharp. I think its a technique thing.KC, please let us know if that sharpener does any good at putting an edge on your knife. I never got a really good edge using one similar.

“Scalp sharp” is a wonderfully evocative phrase.Im still figuring it out , i haven’t gotten the technique down yet. I will report back. I have got a couple kitchen knives sharp but not scalp sharp. I think it’s a technique thing.

Yep this. The knives I sharpened are good enough for my pocket knife or my home kitchen knives but would be laughed at by anyone that knows what they are doing.“Scalp sharp” is a wonderfully evocative phrase.
Those unguided sharpeners are hard to get down, but I think well worth it. My first cooking job, chef had me sharpen the house knives with a set of three stones. It took me almost half a year before I started getting approval from the knive’s daily users, those being esteemed members of the front of house. After a year, he let me sharpen his knives, once.
Keep at it!

I would never laugh out loud at you my little buddy!!!Yep this. The knives I sharpened are good enough for my pocket knife or my home kitchen knives but would be laughed at by anyone that knows what they are doing.
