Smoking Stanislaw Special Car Flake in an old no-name pipe.
Brewed some Pu-erh tea I brought back from China — it seems to disappear way too quickly 😂. Next trip, I’ll definitely buy a larger supply.

Here on the pipe forums even our teas come in shag, flake, and plug form :ROFLMAO: AND we'll debate endlessly if aging makes any noticeable difference.

Jokes aside, how old is this cake and do you have a fancy pu'er pick?

It's really a shame we don't see more cross grain/birdseye pipes in these monthly threads, I love staring into the organized randomness of them whe n I'm smoking.

Listing this a little early: C&D Professor (Wintertime Reserve 2025) in a 1980s White Pipe straight, smooth octagonal paneled billiard meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem. It's time to traffic cop feral feeding.

Christmas & Chanukah arrived early this year -- got a box of goodies from Peretti today! 🎁 So I'll be testing out some new stuff.

Peretti Ebony in a Peterson SPD 2011 (221). Seems like a high quality Cavendish, although I can't really specify the flavor. Perhaps a slight background caramel note? Yeah, identifying flavors is not my forte. 😺

Pepsi Zero to drink. 🥤

@lukasstrifeson Here's some Birdseye for you. (Eller Fågelsögon (?) om du är Svenskt.)

Haha, spot on — even our tea comes in shag, flake, and plug, and we’ll debate aging forever! 😄
Jokes aside:
- 2007 cake (18 years old).
- Bought in China, at a proper tea shop.
- Aging works — drinks smoother and deeper than fresh sheng. Letting it rest more.
No pick — I think it’s unnecessary. 😉

Bowl of BlackHouse in a MM cob.For some reason today, I tasted a soapy flavor, almost like the smell of Irish Spring soap... Anyone else ever get that from BlackHouse?z.jpg

Drew Estate 7th Ave. Blonde in my aromatic pipe, a Savinelli Miele 641 KS smooth bent apple. For those of you who think of burning venereal diseases when they think of the kind of blondes plying their trade on 7th Ave., you'll be delighted to know that my test results are already in, and I'm clean. The moral of the story: it pays to cut the cheese in line. 8/10

Bird report: White-crowned sparrow, Oak titmouse, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, Dark-eyed junco, Chipping sparrow, House finch, Northern flicker, American crow, California towhee, and Spotted towhee.

Another outstanding pipe Paul and that desert is incredible. Did you take that photo? That Le Dune finish has really got the gears turning in my head🤔
Thanks Larry, I like pipes that transport you through memory, feel, emotion. If you embody this in your pipe collection every time you smoke them is like living the moment again. No the image was taken on a journey out through Eromanga, Queensland and out over what is called "Big Red" in Queensland, my better half is the photographer. Those names should create an exciting desk top journey for you though.

Now smoking some Cult Blood Red Moon in another themed pipe. This ones brief was the American South West and I think its a good representation.
