Enjoyed an open face ham, cheddar cheese, two egg sandwich, and am almost half way through this bowl of year 2018 D&R Windsail in a smooth straight family era 1950s Barling 313 T.V.F. EXEXEL pot with a black ebonite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. I've noticed that Norton the Nosey drinks a lot of water, and except for his first evening here, doesn't eat a lot. Daisy the Feral Princess came in to eat, and Norton makes her very nervous.

Tonight's new to me Peretti is called Tashkent - heard good things about it. Seemed like a good fit for the Santambrogio Bent Apple. 🍎

So far so good! Very pleasing proportion of Latakia, I find. Some intense herbal notes. When I was young I used to binge on these old-timey "horehound" candies. Horehound notes, perhaps? Without the candy's sweetness, of course.

Iced Green Tea 🧊🍵

Now smoking Wilke Surbrug’s Crystal Palace in a dark brown smooth straight post-WW2 LHS Certified Purex 79 bulldog with a nickel ferrule and tenon with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Daisy the Feral Princess was on my lap for a few minutes, and once she jumped off, I put Sleepy Suzy by my side. Suzy doesn't jump much due to arthritis in her hips, poor little girl. It's time to see if Tomato the Brave is outside since he missed his et food time. M'lady will keep Norton the Nosey away from him.

Remember, Remember the Fifth of November...!
Long day and just home from a Guy Fawkes night. No burning effigy this time (first time not!) but good time all the same. (I always bring the gunpowder and sparklers.:col:) Enjoying Peretti Prince of Wales in a Ropp Superior Algerian Briar Bulldog under the supermoon.

Now smoking year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Tomato the Brave came in to eat, and then left. Daisy the Feral Princess went out with him, and in came Harry the Hairy. He didn't stay in long, but all three got some attention from yours truly. Norton the Nosey batted the ball around in the cat toy, and is lying on m'lady's chair. Sleepy Suzy is by my side. Molly Danger is snoozin' with m'lady in the bedroom.

Just finishing this bowl of year 2016 Wessex Gold Brick in an undated straight black sandblasted Kevin Arthur brandy with a multi-colored accent on the white acrylic saddle stem. This pipe was originally owned by Sante “FishnBanjo” Guiliani. I laid down on the couch for what I thought would be a couple of minutes when Norton the Nosey decided to lay on my belly. He got a little bit of rubs and scratches, and he was purring for all that he was worth. I thought maybe he'd get up and go back to lying on m'lady's chair, but he decided to snooze on me. Finally, he decided that he was hungry and we both got up from the couch. I decided to watch how much he would eat, and like Harry the Hairy, he mostly nibbles just a little bit at a time. One would think that he'd be a bigger eater considering how scrawny he is. Btw, I was asked by a couple of people why "Nosey" instead of "Nosy". Nosey is the spelling mostly used by the British, and I thought it'd give the li'l fella an air of aristocracy. If he starts purring with a British accent, I'll take the credit. ;)

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am half way through this bowl of Wilke Surbrug’s Golden Sceptre in a late 40s, early 50s straight black sandblasted Wagner British Thorn 495 (Comoy’s second) pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Going to check on the outside ferals soon.

I was still hungry so I ate a small Snap Dragon apple, and have passed the half way mark of this bowl of year 2020 H&H Chatham Manor in a straight smooth 2023 Peterson Red Killarney 53 lovat with metal accents around the shank and a black acrylic p-lip saddle stem. I should be able to end the day with this smoke.

Harry the Hairy came in to eat, and hung around for a short while. I gave him some attention and so did Norton the Nosey. They touched noses in the kitchen before I picked Norton up so Harry could eat in peace. Harry didn't eat at all, and came to the den. He bathed his paws with Norton laying on the floor watching from three feet away. Finally, Harry felt comfortable enough to go to the kitchen and nibble. When he came back to the den, Norton came up to him, got hissed at by Harry, and Harry headed to the door to go out. He doesn't realize that Norton wants to be friends which is the same problem Harry has with the other ferals.

I let Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave in to eat when Harry went out. I put Norton in the bathroom. He started crying, so I went in to be with him while the others ate their wet food. When I knew that D&T had finished, we came out to see Tomato settling down in the cardboard box. He hissed at Norton and ran to the door to go out. Daisy watched for a minute and then wanted out. I hope this gets better if we end up keeping Norton. I like Daisy and Tomato staying in because they are great company, and they want to be with us. It's going to take a while before anything changes.

Trying another one of my new, small samples: Peretti Dutch Chocolate 🇳🇱🍫 in the Vermont Freehand Cherrywood Morta.

Interesting. I can't say I had any particular expectation, but if I had had one, this is not what I would have expected. 🥸 Ok, maybe I was expecting a little bit of sweetness, which this does not have. None. However, even as I type this, it's growing on me, as I begin to acclimate to the flavor. Time will tell if ever go beyond this 1 oz.
