Near the half way mark of this bowl of first production Watch City English Ernie-ental in a straight dark brown and tan rusticated Peterson 2023 Saint Patrick’s Day 264 Canadian with an Irish flag colored ferrule and tapered black acrylic stem. I hope to end the day with this smoke.

I shut the skinny fella in the bathroom while I let Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave in for their wet food in the kitchen. They heard the li'l fella crying while they ate, and after they did, they couldn't wait to get out. I had to prod Daisy three times to get her to eat her wet food because she was very nervous. I spent half the time in the bathroom with him and he would not stop purring or wanting love from me. He's making Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger nervous, too, but we expected that.

There's two things I am sure of. He's been in a house before being abandoned in that grocery store parking lot. He certainly knows the sound that opening a can of wet food makes although, like Harry the Hairy, we're not going to feed him that. Also, if we are able to keep him or not, we hope to get a voucher to pay for him to get neutered.

Peterson Christmas 2012 xl90. Really enjoying Cornell & Diehl Sunday Picnic today — a fine mix of bright and red Virginias with Perique and a touch of Izmir. Balanced, flavorful, with that perfect interplay between sweetness and spice. One of those blends that simply feels right on a quiet afternoon.
P.S. 😂My little princess has been on her usual mouse-hunting patrol during our walk — tireless as ever. 🐭

I haven't had a chance to post about my Saturday ZOOM meeting with my pipe buddies 'til now. During a wonderfully animated and rambling session, I smoked one of my father's basket pipes, a Fenmore pear with a tortoiseshell replacement stem, filled with a vintage tobacco I smoked in my college days, back in the 60s, Wine Cured No.11, from Chicago's English Pipe Shop. The tobacco, though very tasty, was a bit "bitey" as most aromatics were back in the day. The room note was, and still is, unbeatable. It drew smiles and head nods from both women and men in the cafeteria, halls and classrooms, back when smoking was allowed almost everywhere. Smoking it in my father's pipe afforded a nice rush of nostalgia, as the older guys on the ZOOM reminisced about "those thrilling days of yesteryear".

Courtesy of my insomnia, I just went out and had a cup of coffee and a 4:30 am Dr. Grabow 1965-1970 Golden Duke full of Stokkebye Highland Mixture (which just arrived today and I hadn't tried yet, it was fairly pleasant but needs more sampling to determine how much I like it). Earlier in the afternoon I had a couple bowls of Lane HGL (which I've recently discovered I absolutely love for some reason) in my Baraccini Bent Rhodesian.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I smoked a bowl of year 2012 St. James Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Tanshell octagonal paneled EK F/T billiard with a square shank and tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

I couldn't post before now for obvious reasons. The skinny fella is acting like he's been here all of his life. Every time I get up, he follows me. Like a lot of cats, when either one of us has to go to the bathroom, he follows us. I put him in the litter box, and he used it. We think somebody dumped him because he has so easily adapted to us with a lot of affection. He's fourteen inches long, and weighs 4.4 pounds so there's no telling how long ago that might have happened. Since he has big ears, I'm thinking he's about seven months old at the most.

Boy, Jim, he sure is a handsome little fella. Looks like you just became the center of his universe.

A home mix of Big 'n Burley, Sweet Va, and Perique in my highly valued Kaywoodie Prime Grain bent 99b.
This pipe has been on my rack for years but only recently have I realized just how wonderful it is.View attachment 428459
Isn't it a wonderful feeling to "rediscover" a pipe that you have neglected? Kinda like meeting up with an old friend and reminiscing old times.....

There really wasn't another blend of tobacco on the market like Frosty Mint. I've used it mixed with several other tobaccos - BCA and 1Q. But mixing it with chocolate and mocha was without a doubt the best. I even used Chocolate Strips when I didn't have chocolate supreme and yes, it was good.

Some folks on these boards will laugh and snicker. Let them. They don't know what they don't know. But those that do, ....do. The cigarette makers figured this out a long time ago. It's not rocket science. Just ask candy makers.
Scopes, you sure are making this sound tasty..........

I have never mixed any blends and so this will sound like a dumb question, but do you simply place these different mixtures into a big bowl and then with hands or spatulas, just do the "tossed salad" movement with them? How long do you mix? Oh, and I can definitely see the benefit to letting them sit for a while to sort of marinate.
