Good day all! Started with KBV Brown Flek in an Upshall Sandblast Bulldog with smooth rim and hex shank with matching saddle stem size 4. Afternoon bowl of Lane BCA (just found in a box in the garage from 5-6 years ago but still very moist!) in a sacrificial Wilke smooth Billiard with pencil shank and tapered stem. Just a very enjoyable, simple smoke and a great change of pace from my Virginias addiction.

Trying some KBV Dark Fired Cherry in a basket pipe. This stuff isn’t half bad.

Having a bowl from a freshly opened tin of year 2015 John Aylesbury Sir John’s Flake Virginia in a straight smooth light brown 2020 Ryan Alden Ace of Spades squat bulldog with a spalted pecan top and ferrule that’s attached to the tapered black acrylic stem. The pipe was a birthday present last November from my benefactor. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

WCC Old North Church in the yard cobs. Put a new starter and solenoid in the mower. Lasted 28 years so no complaints and fixed for 50 bucks in parts.

Savinelli Brunello Flake of unknown vintage in a Musico. I'd say this tin is at least 4 years old. Trying this for the first time, it is deeeeelicious. This compares favourably to Reiner Long Golden Flake IMHO.

Relieved to be back to being able to smoke some wonderful tobaccos, out of gorgeous pipes, after a stint with illness. Recently acquired this stunning pipe, and it smokes better than it looks. Couldn't ask for more on the maiden voyage.

It is getting colder. I would like to smoke by the fire, but it’s the screen porch for me. Peretti Prince of Wales in the BriarWorks blasted Zulu, and a wee dram or two of whisky.

Fresh experiment: cube cutting cake flakes I cubed some Red Virginia Crumble Kake and gravity filled the little Lorenzetti. It smokes cooler but it has more zip, I wouldn't call it bite. Not yet.
