It’s fine. It seems softer than vulcanite which I like. The button is very tall and narrow which I don’t love but it’s tolerable. How are you liking the horn stem?

They make for a good fireside pipe. Now that's a pipe!
@Dave760 Nice pipe and good tobacco choice. Not smoked Five Brothers before but @Tate says it's a strong baccy. I was smoking GH Brown Pigtail twist in my clay at the Redcoats & Revolutionaries event at Cromford Mill.Starting this cold morning with Five Brothers in an Old German clay.

I would have never thought of that! I just thought about a long smoke session.Pipes that size and bigger are good for folks with bad hands. My arthritis thanks carvers that go the extra mile to make them.

But of course you should!Do you think I should get a giant clay pipe?
@Chasing Embers I saw one in a local museum years ago; I'd like to find out how much they hold & how long they take to smoke. I'd need to weigh the pipe before & after filling like I do containers at the 'zero waste' retailers that sell refills by weight. There are local tobacconists in Chesterfield & Buxton that sell loose pipe baccy by weight. But of course you should!
