WOW November! 😲

Cracked open, and trying for the first time...

Germain’s Royal Jersey Perique Mixture in a Radice Clear Bent Dublin with Baldo Baldi briar aged over 20 years.

Still breaking the pipe in, and a long way to go, and the way I smoke, so bloody slow, and rotating, it will be a year, maybe two before around a 1mm carbon layer.

But, the pipe is absolutely an amazing smoker, so I might rotate it faster, right now I rest it 4-5 days.

Be well everyone! ❤️

@Dave760 Nice pipe and good tobacco choice. Not smoked Five Brothers before but @Tate says it's a strong baccy. I was smoking GH Brown Pigtail twist in my clay at the Redcoats & Revolutionaries event at Cromford Mill.

Pipes that size and bigger are good for folks with bad hands. My arthritis thanks carvers that go the extra mile to make them.

@Chasing Embers Do you think I should get a giant clay pipe? A King Size clay for the Clay King:)
I'd like to find out how much they hold and how long they'd take to smoke. I'd probably be puffing it all day!

But of course you should! 😃
@Chasing Embers I saw one in a local museum years ago; I'd like to find out how much they hold & how long they take to smoke. I'd need to weigh the pipe before & after filling like I do containers at the 'zero waste' retailers that sell refills by weight. There are local tobacconists in Chesterfield & Buxton that sell loose pipe baccy by weight.
